This afternoon, our Dept. Head called me and said seriously,
"Come to see me now, there's an urgent case".
So, I quickly collected my pen and notepad headed to her office as soon as I could.
When I walked in her office, she smiled and collect her pen and notepad, turned back to the desk behind her and pick up a bag and said,
" Put my cakes into refrigerator for me, I'm running to a meeting."
Both of us start to laugh.
Our Training Manager asked the story and felt the cakes looked delicious. When I joke abt the story, she told me to lower voice or don’t I was afraid that Dept. Head would angry.
Thinking for a minute, I told she wouldn't angry, because we were old friends. I knew her for a long time. In addition, she would only ask me to pick up her cakes not others. Because, I'm a contractor now instead of being her permanent staff.
Within 10 mins, Dept. Head called me again and said ,
"Pick up my cell phone from reception's desk to charger in my office".
Both of us start to laugh again. At that moment, I wanna joked with her that I would love to change my function to be her secretary.
In the evening, I caught her between calls to remind "don't forget to bring cakes home".
Guess what? She called when I waited the elevator home and said,
"I forgot to bring my cakes home".
I asked "Where are you?",
and thought I could bring downstairs to her, if she was still in office building. She told that she has gotten on the bus. Then, I asked if her cakes would go bad in refrigerator, she told not. She told she just called to say thank you for my reminder earlier.
Honestly speaking, I should have reminded her again instead of not to be a housekeeper when she called earlier to tell she's going to leave office, and asked if there's anything she should sign-off. I told her just go home see her baby boy and we could leave the paperwork next morning.
This is my most joyful things of the day! : )
